Since the Meiji era, Kawachinagano City in Osaka has been renowned as the leading producer of toothpicks (including cocktail sticks and confectionary picks) in Japan. Kikusui Sangyo has inherited this tradition and remains the sole manufacturer of round toothpicks in this region today.
